Trying to Catch Up

Things have been so hectic that I have gotten behind in everything. The weather has been so crazy that it’s been hard to be motivated to do much.

Today I did get a bit more motivated to work towards my goal of farming. Part of my problem is the need to spend money when I don’t have it.

I’m probably the only one in the world that can let a winter garden get out of control, my Mizuna bolted so I have flowers in the hoop house.

In the photo it’s hard to see the flowers on the right but there are quite a few.

The back yard has been wrecked by the chickens, I had plans to garden the entire back yard.

As you can see the chickens have taken everything down to dirt. On the tree line there is green fencing, it didn’t keep them out, either they cut it or other animals did, possibly our cat.

I bought new fencing today and started puttyit up.

Also got a gate instead of making one.

Hopefully it will work well and I can start planting Friday. We have had lots of storms lately and today wasn’t any different so work had to get cut short.

A lot of time was spent taking up old fencing, all but one of the posts needed to be dug up.

Hopefully the new fencing project will be done soon and the wife will be happy that the yard is cleaned up.
