Killing Bees

I have been dreading going into my hives for awhile. The first hive had a queen but no larva so it’s probably a bad queen. The second hive had no evidence of a queen but did have wax moths, really bad.

Bee larva don’t crawl on the outside. How do you treat this you may ask?

Deep freezer. Kills every animal, not chemical problems, viral or bacteria but all animals including the bees. Wax moths don’t go into healthy hives. It’s always hard to kill bees but they are dead already and don’t know it.

The frames will be in there for a few weeks.

The third hive appeared healthy except no brood and no visible queen which probably means they are dead too despite the high numbers and lack of moths. We will see.
