Odds and Ends

Took a sample bag of radishes to the restaurant that buys my honey yesterday. I wasn’t sure what size he wanted or if he wanted tops on or what. He liked what I had and said he would buy in the future but also said he doesn’t go through much.

On a different note a neighbor contacted me today wanting me to mow a field he has but more importantly he decided to sell and was letting me know.

I have wanted this land for over 10 years but when it comes down to it I probably won’t be able to get it. It has always been a battle to be happy with what I have knowing it’s more than most people have. The prospect of buying more land also messes up my financial plan. I have been working hard to get things paid off but if possible I don’t think I could pass on the land. With the land it would present more options.

  1. It would keep someone else from living there.
  2. I could cut hay on it
  3. Could put cattle on it

There would be a lot of work to go into it, it’s sure not ready for agriculture right now. For now it’s time to pray to either get the land or be satisfied with what I have, we will see.

Just a stay at home Dad trying to become more self sufficient in a world getting more dependent. It’s easy to get lost in all the things of the world, sometimes the best therapy is getting your hands dirty and growing something good!
