The last batch of apples came out pretty good, they were actually in for 10 hrs at 135 degrees Fahrenheit. They aren’t great but I think that is because the apples weren’t completely ripe but the tree fell over so what are you gonna do? They tasted like the apples.
Started another batch, did push the temperature up to 140 and added some sugar just to see how they are, going to try 11 hrs as well. I didn’t say how many apples I used before because I didn’t count, this time it was 10 apples for 5 trays, the size of the apples varied greatly but as an average I’d say 10 medium sized apples sliced 1/4 inch thick for 5 trays in the dehydrator.
The Apple slice on top was from the first batch and fell on the floor, I left it out to see if it gets moldy.
Much later….The sugared Apple batch came out great!
