Mill Creek Homestead is located in Tennessee about 40 minutes outside of Chattanooga. The desire with the homestead is to produce good quality food for personal consumption and have some left to sell. At this point this is very early in the actual purposeful growth in food production. Until this year it has always been on the back burner because other work always got in the way. Now the real work begins, even though there are a few trees, bees, and chickens in progress it is time to try and begin real production.
This blog’s primary purpose is to produce a documentation of the growth, successes and failures hoping that others can learn and see some reality in the process of growing a small homestead. It is easy to give up or put it off way too long, after all that’s what I did, put it off way too long.
